True. The pwm version is 1500.

I wish there was some max power info on these fans

Its really pretty slack of Cougar not to have it available. I thought it might be that only the PWM version didn't have that info because it was less relevant but all of them are the same.
According to a german review the 3 pin version uses about 1.6 watts

Edit: The PWM version uses 0.18 AMPS at 12 volts ... so around 2 1/4 watts

[quote name="DirtyTrickster" url="/t/1337635/bitfenix-recon-fan-controller/10#post_18908406"Also, does the recon ramp the fan speed? I see the Lamptron jumps to 100% when the target temp is reached.
Thanks for any help!thumb.gif[/quote]

And that is a deal breaker for me. The method the Lamptron touch uses is not control, it is reaction. The constant flicking back and forth between the running and max speed drove me crazy. As soon as it goes to full, the temp drops and the fan goes back to the running temp, whereupon the temp flicks up and the fan jumps to full and etc, etc, etc. With proper control, there may never be a need for the fan to go to 100%.

Well I pulled the trigger on that, 3 more fans and fan splitters. Luckily they matched neweggs prices, plus 2%.

Hopefully it does what I want!

Hey folks,
just installed my recon white on my cm storm stryker looks and works solid, sensors on gpu, above mobo/cpu and bottom of case all work great, web browser works good, tested ceiling fan and other controls, two additional fans at baseof case work great.
I don't see any where to control led lights on/off for my bitfenix fans connected - does anybody know how to control led lights on/off as well via this controller, is there some extra wiring connectors required ?

Any help would br appreciated, otherwise these led lights are always on..for these fans..

I'm also considering attaching all fans[lefd non led ones that came with this case] to this controller, they are controlled via separate case controller light and fan speeds but require manual adjustment, not automated..

Cheers.
