Wow, so many people subscribing to this. I deeply apologize for the lack of updates, but I have been so very busy with work and life. Anyone want to volunteer to take a stab at a section? PM it to me and I will add it to the original post.

I promised to get around to this one day.

Any help is appreciated. I know this is a post that could help several people, if it can ever be finished!

I was just going to suggest adding Xen and KVM to the Hyper-Visors list. And optionally VirtualBox even though it's not a hardware level hypervisor. It can still be used as a basis for a virtualization server (I happen to be doing that now). I'll leave that option to you.

Well I do have Citrix listed, which would cover XenServer. I have not listed KVM (nor VirtualBox for the same reason) yet, because they are considered paravirtualization and not hypervisors. I have noted the interest in paravirtualization and will make a section for that. Not sure when I can work on it in detail though. frown.gif

Not a real server but just a home storage for me and my brother. Movies, Documents, Music, etc.

Thoughts.
