Steam not allowing Crysis Benchmarking tool to run

Hey guys,

I'm trying to run the Crysis Benching tool but the game won't launch through anything other than steam. I keep getting an "Application failing to load" error.

Anyone know a way past this? I'd hate to have to download the demo when i have the game i paid for sitting right there on my HDD.

and i tried launching Crysis.exe through the folder and i get the error.

Not sure which Crysis you're talking about, but the original had a 64-bit and a 32-bit bin folder. Try running the exe's from the other one then the one you've been trying.

To run the Crysis benchmark you could download the Demo of Crysis, that is where the tool was intended for thumb.gif

You might want to consider just redeeming Crysis on Origin and downloading the installer (doesn't require Origin to be running). Comes with 64bit and 32bit versions.

You can do that? But even so it would be a 6.3GB download tongue.gif thanks for the info though, that's pretty neat.

If someone else has it installed they might be able to send you bin64... worth a shot at least lol. I can't imagine why steam doesn't have it.
