I can't access anything game related in work, would someone be kind enough to put all of the 1.7 traffic patch changes in a post please? I would like to see what improvements I can expect when I get home and get it updated. thumb.gif

Update 1.7

• Traffic Improvements: Tuned traffic congestion and fixed some intersection traffic issues.
• Traffic improvements: Emergency Vehicles will drive in empty lanes to get around traffic at intersections.
• Traffic improvements: Emergency and Delivery vehicles get priority over regular traffic when leaving garage.
• All units and buildings can now be demolished using the bulldoze tool.
• Performance improvements for low spec systems.
• New Server: Asia 2 will be released Tuesday afternoon (PDT)!

Not a huge update but better than nothing, thanks thumb.gif

Has anyone already installed this patch notice a difference?

I can't say I noticed a substantial change, however I started a new city and in a 15 minute realtime span I grew my city from 44k to 315k! After peaking At 315k I was dealing with nothing but traffic issues where traffic slowed down services and trash causing my pop to drop to 260k before I could start to stablize it.

First city I've made to get up that high in population.. I'm working towards completing the 2.5m challenge that ends in 5 days on a fresh region in na east 3 if any active players are willing to join me.

I have an issue with the cost of services based on the amount of profit, at the moment I'm on the verge of going bankrupt again for the 6th time and 4th city, I have around 140k people but seem to be losing 10k /hr What is a good way to make money? 3/4 of my city is residential with $$ and $$$ parks placed every two blocks. I have a casino which is playing havok with my police as there is so much traffic they can't deal with it quick enough so people are leaving and businesses are going out of business due to "lack of workers" I also have a big homeless issue. mad.gif

I have a 8k loss per hour but more than make up for it with a couple of processor factories, the financial advisor guy says I'm ok making a loss so long as I keep up my industry.

Wait til you move on to TVs, my city is losing >$75k an hour but netting $5 million a month.

The transition is VERY hard to make. Processors are very close to breaking even if you're having to import alloys. I had the most success with going from 2 smelting factories 1 recycling plant-> 1/2/3 processor factories and eventually getting to 3 TV plants (avoid computers, the market is flooded and they're selling for $50k less than TVs).

I would look at your expense tab and target those high expenses first. Also, I've been monitoring any tourist/casinos a bit to ensure they are turning a profit, and if they don't.. in a pinch I'll turn the facility off.

A big turning point for me was understanding crime, health, fire, and education needs and scaling up/down to support what was needed. it is easy to leave on all your facilities and have it just eat up your profit when you are completely underutilizing it. For example: if your crime has 15 crimes a day, and 15 rehabilitations a day, there's no point to have a single police station/precinct with like 150+ jail cells cause your usage on the jail will be pretty low (probably get off with having no additional jail cells depending on # of police buildings and locations).

I'm still focusing on just low wealth populations, having a mix of all of them and trying to maintain the demands from low/medium residential + low/medium commercial where both are happy seem to be an uphill battle for me at this point in my experience with the game.
