Have to also turn off accepting local deliveries or destroy the lot entirely on the ones not in use. Bring up the trade specialization map and see if you don't have a bunch of shipments stuck in highway traffic. Until you get traffic stabilized it doesn't work too well. Just as an aside, the global market is unavailable if you're using the offline mod.

It's because of the bus stop. Since there are kids there, all nearby buses want to go to it, but once the first picks up everyone there, the others will pass it. Right now, mass transit/utility/service vehicles act like they're unique in the city and have zero cooperation. It's relatively easy to fix, but it requires additional memory space to fix it(storing flags saying bus incoming). It's possible that they are trying to lower memory usage from inefficient methods before doing the fixes that increase memory usage.

I have this same problem.
My city is layed out with one long bending high density avenue and no streets coming off of it.
When there is a fire all hell breaks loose mad.gif

You'd probably have better traffic with a single high density road.
With avenues, you've got the problem that for someone to go to the other side of the street by car they've got to go to the very end of the road and do a U-turn. The best layout is usually avenues in one direction and roads in the other. At the very least, add a couple minimum angle intersections to give people a place to turn around.

I actually find that unless there is a public service vehicle stopped that I never have any traffic problems in my city. The only time where I have had one is when I introduced a road coming off of the avenue.
Right now it's still in the mid game part since my group of friends have restarted on a new region... rolleyes.gif

How often are others getting the city wont process, have to roll back or abandon error? ..pretty annoying. Have had at least 1 to a few on every game.

This time happened after major demolishing...had 2.5 million but stuck with traffic at 300K pop....so demolished whole outer 360 border, including all utilities, put in railroad 360, and few other changes after looking at 400K pop video, then quickly rebuilt everything...wanted to see how the changes affected traffic....but 3x in a row game reset to same point, which apparently is now bugged....

That is one annoying thing about not having the ability to save game at points I want....buggy games shouldnt be mandated to server controlled saves.

Yeah I had my first rollback incident tonight. Very annoying. I also have this issue where my exporting has stopped completely so my economy is almost completely borked.

Also, does water ever come back after being pumped dry?

No, its broke. You have to put your water pumps by your sewage treatment plant. It generates water.

oh boy... that's gonna cost me. plus I have this exporting issue where my trade depots are full and to global export trucks are coming to my city. I've heard it's because of the traffic stacking up outside my city but I don't know how I'm going to fix that...
