Yeah, I thought every one knew about that...it was a joke people. They probably removed it because I am sure some one probably tried to follow the directions.
What I want to know is if there even a safer way to get to where "Wild Dog Road" will take you? It maybe the only thing close to a road in the area...If you are trying to get to the middle of no where you have to go on roads like that.
I can go into areas of South Dakota and Montana and find the same thing. Both Apple and Google maps have seemed to work well for me out there too...though I know the areas like the back of my hand and I didn't need them. I just was playing around with my phones and was curious if they even had the areas loaded. Aside from not knowing a couple roads had been under water since roughly 1997 they did OK. Though I should probably say that if you are in these areas you are pretty much expected to be on horse back, on foot, riding an ATV/dirt bike or a snowmobile...really Apple and Google should just disable "Driving" directions in these types of areas and only use the walking directions option (which would be fine for the ATVs too), but that would probably get more people in trouble...cause I am sure there will be people trying to drive their compact hatchback car down minimum maintenance roads that even farm equipment might have trouble navigating.
