overclocking 8800 series card

Does anyone know if the shader speed on the new 8800 cards can be increased? So, for example, taking the 1.2 GHz shader speed on the gts up to say 1.25 GHz.

In addition, I have read reviews of the gts online and in one review (note: it was a user review not an offical one) they claimed to reach 625/1000 on the gts. What have been other people's results with overclocking this card?

That's the wierd thing. Nvidia has forbidden all manufactures to factory overclock the card yet many people are getting massive stable overclocks with the stock cooling.

Its not really that weird when you consider what happened a while back with the pre-overclocked 7900's. As you are an owner of one Im sure you remember the multitude of cards that had to be RMA's because of instability. After a while it was obvious that the most common RMA's were the ones that were sold pre-overclocked. This widespread problem put a dent in Nvidia's reputation, and as such, to make sure it didnt happen again, Nvidia told all the manufacturing partners not to pre-oc their cards. It was a wise move on Nvidia's part, meant to ensure that every buyer had as hassle-free of an experience as possible.
