Sager NP6350 - Touchpad and Keyboard interferring with eachother?

Hey all, i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this problem I'm having

I bought a Sager NP6350 for my girlfriend for Christmas, and she specifically told me that she wanted a new laptop to be able to play games like amnesia on it, so first thing i did was install amnesia.

Game works wonderfully, super smooth framerate, everything's grand, until i start playing.

While holding any key on the keyboard while playing this game, the touchpad is rendered inoperable. IT just doesn't detect any input. I closed amnesia and tried a little experiment in notepad. I held down the s key, and tried moving the mouse, and i got the same result. I can not move the mouse while pressing a key on the keyboard. As you can imagine, this is incredibly debilitating and hope there is something i can do to fix this, but so far I've had no luck. Think anyone can help me out here? +rep to all who help. Thanks in advance guys!

Check the touchpad settings to see if "disable touchpad while typing" option is in there.

To be quite frank, you should get her a mouse to use as well.

No such option is there. There was something under the default mouse options labeled hide mouse while typing which was enabled. I did disable it, and i'm still having the same problem. I should clarify too. The problem is actually that the mouse seems to go in and out of being active while a key is pressed. i can get slight movements, but only very short and sudden ones. That seems to be the case now anyway.

Double post, i know, but i seem to have found the problem. it seems to be the touchpad driver itself interfering with it. i uninstalled the driver and deleted the driver software, restarted and it seems to work fine now. There also seems to be all sorts of updated drivers on sagers site that i'm going to go through. perhaps the latest driver will fix that problem, perhaps not. worth a try.

Just disable the mousepad when playing games. I have to hit Fn + F9 to shut mine off. Should be fairly straight-forward from there.
