The temps a card runs at and the ability to push it are two different but very same things. My card when OC'ed runs around 65c. The amount of OC does not change the temp of the card though, it simply won't go any higher than it already is. Example: +100-106 on the core yeilds the same mghz bonus, but the temp stays the same. But 106 may cause me to crash out whereas 100 does not, still the mghz is at 1280 whether the # is at 100 or 106, and temp stays the same as well, I hope I am making sense. Although a better cooling system will allow you to not have the throttling issue that we have once a card hits 70c.

I'd definitely get the GTX670 over the 660. And between the MSI 670 and the Gigabyte 670, I'd definitely go with the Gigabyte, it runs cooler and much much quieter.

However for the price of a GTX670 you can get a HD7970 which is a lot more powerful, especially after overclocking.

I got my 670 Ftw earlier this week and its a beast of card. If you have the money get a 670 and Gigabyte > MSI in this case.

I think that since you do not upgrade often the 670 was the correct choice. Enjoy your new card.

Get the gigabyte windforce 670. Has a better cooler than the power edition. I've owned both cards BTW.
