my new Xmas build

well santa thought i was really good this yr and sent me a bunch of presents. for my upgrade, which i need bad since it was all ready over 4yrs old.

Specs:
Intel Core I5 -3570k @ auto OC to 4.3ghz and down clocks to 1.6ghz
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
Kingston HyperX Red 16gb DDR3-1600mhz 10.10.10
Gigabyte GTX 660 Auto OC core@1150mhz/mem@1500mhz
Corsair 850TX 850watt
ASUS Xonar DX
Mushkin SSD 60gb

i never did used a SSD before till now and set it up as my OS drive as well. i may be looking into getting a tad bit bigger 1 in the future since this has like less then 11gigs left after all is said and done with windblows updates and what programs i couldnt set to my other drive/drives.

the 2 WD 640gig i have are no longer in raid 0 anymore and i have 1 set to be my program drive and where my TEMP/TMP folder are at as well. which still has ton of room yet and the Seagate 250gig i am still using as my slave drive yet which is good cause i saved a bunch of stuff in it all ready.

i did some more clean up far as wires goes inside the case and 1 of the two 92mm fans that was going bad are now replaced. which gave me the time to redo some things.

only thing is left for me to do is either change the fans in the corsair ram cooler or find another that is not so tall and has blue color to the lights, since that is all the color of the fans are now.

here is a few of the before pictures i took after the upgrades

and as i have stated before this set up as blown me away !! with the performance it has shown me so far, only thing beside a bigger SSD is maybe another gtx 660 since this 1 runs really well.

and this Gigabyte gtx 660 with this fan cooler they have on it runs really quiet and cool since it is still set to auto just like the cpu since i havent touched the bios for that at all. the bios even set to the ram voltage to what it shows on the stick of ram..

very impressed by Gigabyte motherboard and graphics card and even this I5 cpu.

You should have gone with a 7870. It's as fast as the 660Ti with the 12.11 drivers and costs as much as the gtx660, just saying.

well as far what gfx card to go with, that was up to santa.. since he did the ordering and not me. but then again i sure love playing borderlands 2 with physX set to high and everything else to max but AO is off and in nvidia panel i have all aa set to 8x/16x and the game runs awesome!!! im in the high 80 to 130 fps even in caustic caverns and thundercuts i am near 100 fps with everything going off!! i cant shake that feeling if you ever played with these setting in borderlands 2..

and metro 2033 is like OMG !!! with everything max it is a smooth 30fps and BF3 is also so wicked maxed out as well. so yeah i cnat complain on santas choice right now.. but atleast it isnt a evga gfx card which right now and still i dont like ever since the 8 RMA of there gtx 285 sc that did only but leave a bad tatse and lead me to the red side for 4yrs:thumb:
