Logitech g710+ spacebar

Thread Starter
I just joined and have been lurking for a while giving some input where i can, now i need some help which has caused me to start my first thread.

I'm planning on ordering a g710+ and i couldn't find out what kind of spacebar it had. i read somewhere that there where 2 types of spacebars, one with fake switches and one with a metal bar similar to a swaybar (cant remember the terminology). what i read also said that the swaybar type was preferable because the fake switch type tended to drag and get hung up. So if someone who has the g710+ could take a look and let me know i would appreciate it, thanks.

p.s. There are some amazing build threads(cpachris BBBB one of my favorites) here and i hope one day that i can contribute my own. Thanks for making an awesome community.

edit: got impatient and tried calling Logitech and apparently they aren't allowed to give out information that you'd easily find out if you had access to the product itself.

I have removed the spacebar keycap of my G710+ and I can tell you that the G710+ uses the MX Cherry Stabilizers. The same one as depicted here: http://imgur.com/a/TpWDP#0

Actually, I prefer the "fake" sapcebar, as the one with the metal bar can make weird sounds, my friend has a mechanical keyboard which uses those stabilizers and makes weird noises.

Those things you are talking about are called stabilizers.
"Fake" Stabilizers are called Cherry Stabilizers
Metal bar stabilizers are called Costar Stabilizers

I'm really really annoyed by the G710+ Spacebar. It's so freaking noisy when released.

I tried to remove the support bar but it seems impossible.

I'm busy for over 2 weeks now to try and get the spacebar quiet.

Same here. I absolutely love my G710+, but the spacebar is driving me mad. And on top of its noise, it will occasionally get stuck when coming up from being depressed.
