radeon 7850 trouble with atiflash, rom not erase

Hi guys,

In advance i'm sorry for my bad english.

I need to flash the bios of my gpu sapphire radeon hd 7850 2gB oc, cause there is many bug if the gpu sart without using more than 500 mhz memory clock, but by default, it starts with 150 mhz.

I tried to use gpu tweak for define the minimum at 600 mhz, it's works but not always, so if i flash the bios with the correct values, everything will be ok.

Radeon bios editor can't support 7xxx series, i found this bios with 600 mhz default values : http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/122512/Gigabyte.HD7850.2048.120604.html

Can i flash my bios with another constructor bios if it's the same gpu model? Without risk?

I have already tried with another sapphire bios with atiflash, start computer on usb key who content all required files.

I write :

-atiflash -i
Adaptater good.

-atiflash -f -p 0 xxx.rom
Atiflash wrote informations about old and new rom, but the last line is rom not erase.

-atiflash -unlock 0
ok

-atiflash -f -p 0 xxx.rom
Atiflash wrote informations about old and new rom, but the last line is rom not erase.

I don't know why atiflash not wrote the new bios in the gpu.

May be i must write with -fa, -fs, -fm, -fp but i don't know what this arguments really does.

Anyone can help me please, I do not know what to do now.

Thanks in adavnce.

Best regards.

ATIwinflash via windows works best for me.

Download it and place all the files in your C/Users/"Name" folder

Then run command prompt

Type atiwinflash -unlockrom 0

then

atiwinflash -f -p 0 "bios".rom

Where "name" is obviously your PC's name and "bios" is whatever you named it

Thank you for your reply, should i do on normally windows in cmd or start on shell? because i see in web doing flash on windows comport risk,

Also i prefer do that from agp default vga graphic, if there is a problem i will always use the computer, but is it work?

And i believe atiwinflash don't support radeon 7850, what is your gpu model?

I tried always commands in atiflash ans atiwinflash, same the command atiflash -fa -fm -fs -fp -f -p 0 x.rom or with options -excl_memtrain_dtable in two soft but always atiflash show the message post up and atiwinflash run the commands but nothing after, no ok message.

Could anyone help me please, i don't know why two softs not work for me.
