The 82N isn't modular, and I really need it to be. Not much room for cables in this Lancool. I have problems with the 430 already.
Anyone know what platform those Rosewills are based on?
I looked at the Seasonic (550, I think, or 560), but someone wants an outrageous price, and Amazon is out of stock currently.

The Hive is a Sirtec based unit. It's the same platform used in the OCZ ZS that tested well at HardwareSecrets. The Capstone, like I mentioned, is a Super Flower Golden Green based unit. Both of them are good PSUs, but, obviously, the Capstone is the better unit.

The Rosewill Tachyon and Silentnight are Golden King based units as are the Kingwin Lazer Platinum, Absolute Platinum, and Stryker.

LOL it seems Super Flower is not a brand that is easy to find i the US but the Kingwin Lazer Platinum 550W is more or less the same PSU as the Super Flower Golden King 550w so which one that is easiere for you to find

After reading some reviews i think you sould go for the Kingwin Lazer Platinum 550W but its not cheap but on the other hand i think its worth it i wish Super Flower/Kingwin was more known brands i never heard of them before

Definitely think the Kingwin 550 is the way to go if youre looking for quality. HardOCP is my go to site for power supply reviews as they abuse the crap out of them. Any PSU that passes their test will be a great unit for real world use and if it gets a Gold award, its a monster PSU! The Kinginw 550 got a Gold award and the reviewer was downright gushing over it. Im wanting to buy a new power supply to replace my 3 year old Corsair (Im an upgrade junkie) and am seriously considering this unit based solely on this HardOCP review. Those guys dont "gush" often in fact they seem to take pride in trashing things so if theyre raving about something, its legit. The Seasonic Platinum 860 is also on my short list for $200. Its another one that gets stellar reviews and its 1000 watt big brother has been claimed to be the best power supply on the market right now.

The Kingwins are going for $150 shipped right now at Newegg. Definitely not a "value" price but considering how high the quality is of this thing, seems worth it.

The Rosewill Tachyon is, for all intents and purposes, the same unit as the Kingwin. So if you want to save a little and not forfeit quality, it's the way to go.
