The best thing to enhance your personal computer experience and send your benchmarks through the roof would be to lose the profile picture of that man. But other than that another 660ti will work very nice with that cpu.

Thanks for the post! Maybe I will buy it after work then. He won it at his office Christmas party. I sure wish I my company gave away things like that:p So if I currently have the i5 2400 this CPU will surely work with my crappy mobo right? You have to click the Tundra/Desert Rig then look at my other rig which is my current rig.

I need to just delete the one I sold.

I am going to go against the grain hear and say you have plenty of GPU power with a GTX 660Ti for a single 1080P screen. Going to SLi will only create problems.The i5 2400 at stock is faster than your 920 @ 4.0 in games,but a 3770K is a great CPU,and can hit 4.5GHz no problem.Best thing you can do is get a SSD for your OS. thumb.gif

I like it! I like a differing opinion. I am finding it hard not to pick up that CPU at $180 though. I remember encoding video on with my i7 920 and it being WAY faster than my current CPU was rendering the same videos last night.

Since this is a computer I bought from CL for next to nothing I am not complaining but I just want a CPU I can OC (Mainly for fun) and GPU or GPUs I can play all the games I like on Ultra settings. I had the SSD for my OS on my last rig and have them in my macs. On this rig I dont care so much, it's just for gaming and video editing. Thanks again! thumb.gif

I hope this CPU works OK with this lame mobo....

Yeah I had a 920 and I'm probably going to put back into active duty. Its a good chip, with ssd ddr3 1600 and a sata lll board no problem. Unless you are doing heavy 3d and above. But that's because there is new stuff out now- not because it is obsoleted.

I need to delete my old 920 rig. I no longer have that. The rig I am talking about is called "Budget Craigslist Build" I wish I could show both of them in my signature with the one I actually still own first.

I ended up buying the i7 3770k last night NIB from a guy on Craigslist. I only have the stock cooler so it is only OCd to 3.8GHz but I am loving this chip compared to the i5 2400 non-k I had for two days.

I still wish I wouldnt have sold the Tundra/Desert rig in my sig a year and half ago but we were moving into a new home and the wife wanted it gone:p

Now to look for a decent cooler and another GPU and maybe a motherboard...

This "Budget Craigslist Build" is quickly turning into quite the opposite. Ah, I missed having a PC:thumb:
