I absolutely adore that motherboard. But PLEASE lose the bullets and get a XSPC mobo waterblock for it. It will look a million times better.

Subbed for this... looks like it should be a great system... 64GB - just for the overkill or do you do a lot of graphics/video work when you're not messing with hardware? smile.gif

And on the ROG vs MSI - I have a MVE for my build at home and I just updated my workstation at work with an MSI Z77A-G45 (so a decidedly more 'pedestrian' board than yours) and although I love the OC potential and stability of the MVE... I actually have found the MSI board to be even easier to work with and actually far superior in quality/stability to the Asus and Gigabyte boards I've built systems with over the past 3-4 years. They've really stepped up their game lately... used to be I'd avoid the brand like the plague... but from now on I think I might just become an MSI fanboy. biggrin.gif

And unless you're determined to hit the absolute maximum OC and voltage on your 7970s I wouldn't be too worried about the XSPC blocks... I have two of them and at 1100/1500 I still don't see VRM temps go over 60C during benching or BTC mining - and during normal gaming they don't even get close to that.

i dont do "a lot" of editing, but the graphic work I do uses massive files (sometimes over 100GB)... a good frined of mine has used both boards quite a bit, and says they are both equally stable, and capable but the XPower II take a little bit more tweaking... I ended up picking the board because i like the layout 100x more then the RIVE and it fits my color scheme better tongue.gif

as for the GPU water blocks, i am seriously debating until the 89XX series comes out and selling my current cards... if not then i will either go XSPC or EK tongue.gif

now for UPDATE TIME! biggrin.gif

So as you can see, I have the comp up and running (I'm posting this from it smile.gif). The H80i is just a temporarily solution until I get RADs and fittings. Everything is connected and set up on the station currently, but unfortunately i don't have any pictures (and its too dim right now for good pictures).

and here is one i liked... i screwed up on the focus, but i kinda like the reflection of the camera in it tongue.gif

I've already ordered an MDPC crimper, and plan to order para cord with my next amazon order (LEPA G 1600 and BluRay Burner), so now I need your guys' opinions on color scheme. Here are the options I am currently looking at.

Option #1:

Option #2:

the first 8 and 6 pins go together, and the second 8-pin will be mobo power, and the second 6-pin will be the one that goes into the mobo. I like the idea of a 4 color scheme, but I'm not sure how well it will work. The coolant on top will be orange and bottom, purple. What do you guys think? smile.gif

And here is a blank template if you want to make a different suggestion smile.gif
