So long ago in Black Friday, I got myself a Samsung 32" LED HDTV for around $250.
Now it still sits in it's original boxing in my living room. (For because I have a really old VIEWSONIC 23" inch I think) That I'm still watching TV on.

Do you guys think I should just gamble on my old VIEWSONIC TV (Old first gen "flat screen" probably from 2005 if I remember.) and return the TV for something else, like an iPod Touch?
(My old iPod shuffle finally died on me few months ago)

I don't watch TV much, not your average "movie guy", I pretty much surf the web majority of the time, and only watch TV when I'm either eating, or just watching it at night until I fall asleep. My only concern is that I return my HDTV and the next day my TV dies on me..haha..

So if you were in my shoes, what would you do? (Including my persona of not an avid TV watcher.)
Return and get tablet/ipod? Keep....?

(The TV is in my room.)

If I got "Gift receipts" from the Best Buy cashier on Black Friday, am I able to return it as I got it for a gift and maybe will they give me store credit or something?

Because I'm not sure what's Best Buy's return policy on TVs, but I think Gift Receipts lasts longer for you to return than original purchase receipts. I think original receipt only let you return in 7 days? Anyone know about this?

Here's the TV I have: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+32%26%2334%3B+Class+%2831-1/2%26%2334%3B+Diag.%29+-+LED+-+720p+-+60Hz+-+HDTV/5605904.p;jsessionid=EC7A3C9D6A42BFC277A2BEF69F75E4D1.bbolsp-app04-16?id=1218671140673&skuId=5605904&st=samsung%2032%22&cp=1&lp=1

Why not return the TV for a new GPU?
Unless you never play games

I would just keep it. I wasnt much of a TV watcher till I purchased my 55" tv. Not to mention you can invite friends over to watch things on with, and you can use it as a computer monitor. For $250 I see no reason why not.

Thanks for the replies, greatly appreciate it... I'm kind of thinking about keeping it too.. but I do miss listening to music on the go.. then again I can just buy any $30 MP3 player and that would do the job... geeez... So an iPod Touch really isn't worth it? My parents live away from me and I used to do "FaceTime" with them when I had my friends iPad awhile ago, and I don't know if they can do Skype with their iPad?

I'm so indecisive! It's a good T.V. I know.. but I RARELY watch TV, would have canceled the TV plan but unfortunately it's stuck with my AT&T U-Verse plan. I currently have NVIDIA GTX 560 TI and it's doing me well smile.gif [Just got BF3 and BO2 recently.. hehe] so I don't think I will need to replace it.. It feels like an iPod is something that I'll use more frequent than a T.V. at home.. convince me frown.gif((

The new iPod touch sucks for the money. I use an iPod nano occasionally but my smartphone is actually better than the iPod touch for music.

Ipod touches get old quickly and aren't worth the money.

Trust me, your current TV is excellent and it would be a complete waste to exchange it for an iPod touch.
