So................first off, this build started as upgrading my old computer (I built last year about this time). I quickly realized I needed a bigger case, then came a new mobo, new video cards.........you get the picture. The case I got was too big to fit under my desk anymore with a chair, so it had to go on the desk somewhere.............this is where the fun began.

*side note* - after visiting my parents over Thanksgiving, I realized how outdated and slow their Dell Dimension Pentium 4, 512mb ram, onboard graphics was. So I rebuilt my old computer and upgraded it a bit and am giving it to them for Christmas. Specs below.........
-AMD FX-4100
-Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler

a few more things.................

- Razer Nostromo Gaming Keypad
- Logitech MX Performance 2.4ghz Dark Shield Mouse
- Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 2.4ghz
- AeroCool Touch-2100 5-Channel 25W Fan Controller w/ USB 3.0
- ASUS BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS 12X Blu-ray Internal Burner Drive with Disc Encryption

Also to follow up my build and where I am going with it............

- Custom laser engraved and carved acrylic mods (with the Baby Blue theme) - my sons nickname is "Baby Blue" in case you wonder where I got the name. Have a laser engraver/cutter at work

- The top of the case is being removed, and I will be expanding the case upwards in the back (keeping the handle). This enclosure will have 2 small exhaust fans shooting straight out to help redirect the other 2 140mm exhaust fans (in top of case), so that the heat does not run back behind the case or down the sides into the intake fans. The custom expansion will be metal and wrapped in carbon fiber. I will also be adding a Silverstone Media Reader in this area (lots of photography SD cards loaded all the time)

- The space above the hard drive fans (far right 2 fans) will be customized to fit my AeroCool Touch 2100 Fan Controller & optical drive. These will be behind the acrylic panel. One might say.........."but that's a pain to access the disk drive"......and I will answer "the one time a year I load a disk, I will gladly remove the panel over cutting through it" (went over a lot of ideas for the access of this, including doors, laptop slimdrives, etc etc).

- ALOT OF YOU will be wondering why the $%#@ I made the acrylic panel so wide on the left. My thought here is to frost or smoke the left 6 1/2 inches (where the normal cutoff is), to hide the wires and external hard drives tucked along the cabinet there

I hope you all like my build, and any and all feedback is appreciated, including constructive criticism smile.gif

much more to come! including how it runs in game and my whole house etc.
