Whats your bulldozer overclock? - Page 2

I got my 8150 to 4.4GHz with stock cooling. I did manage to get it to 5.17GHz with a bus speed of 246 at one point in time with stock cooling but I never tested to see if it was stable because I was using a motherboard that wasn't working well with my CPU and had no VRM heatsink. I plan to get to 5GHz and above again but I do not feel like wasting one hour installing my after market cooler and I am currently happy with 4.4GHz.

Can't get my FX-8150 past 4.4GHz stable with my lapped TRUE and 120x38 San Ace.

Pretty sure my GA-970A-UD3 is holding me back, though I may just have a sub-par chip.

hey hey hey biggrin.gif , i have been trying to break 5 ghz for the longest with my fx-8120 worriedsmiley.gif , i was finally able to get there, it's not stable, drool.gif but it didn't crash cheers.gif , my validation shows my voltage low because of C6 or what it's called in the bios, i have that enabled but all other power saving features are off. my volts are 1.55v , i have a lot more tweeking to get it stable , but i'm happy that i was able to hit that band.gif here is the validation: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2620306 , i can't wait to get an fx-8350, i could drop it right in my rig, but i'm soooo tempted to do a whole new build around it wheee.gif

Get everything stock and then just bump the multi til you hit 4.5 ghz and up the v to 1.45 Monitor the vdroop and adjust for it, if you can't adjust for it and it keeps staying below your specified v then disable automatic cpu v.
