Sony Vegas 12 Pro - CUDA rendering not working? - Page 2

Sorry for bumping but I have similar issue.

I select Render using GPU.
I even check the "Check" button to see if the render/gpu has CUDA support. Which it does.

It still uses CPU only and not GPU.

Sony Vegas 12 and latest Nv driver.
I had same issue in PD11 and it used only Intel.

Yeah, it's a pain. With most codecs if you select GPU rendering it still only uses the CPU because only a couple of codecs actually support GPU rendering. I hope they sort this out soon, at least remove the GPU option from codecs that don't support it.

I got the same problem with Vegas pro 12 and a GTX 770. But its not just the time that remains with the same value of rendering with the CPU, the issue is that is STILL USING THE CPU !!!!!!!!
Please people, put some footage to render (trying to use CUDA) and in the maintime check the CPU usage in the task manager. You will see that it use it at maximum. I am furious with Nvidia and/or Sony Vegas.

I have the same problem, I have been reading around the internet that Sony Vegas does not support Newer Maxwell cards (900 series) with CUDA. I have been using Intel Quick Sync Instead.

To use Intel Quick Sync you must choose the Sony AVC "Internet 1080 30i" profile and then just change it to whichever settings you want, and use the Intel Quick Sync "Quality" mode not "Speed" mode option because the speed one doesn't even seem to work.

But you will have to plug in your monitor into the motherboard and enable iGPU in the BIOS. You dont have to install this Lucid Virtu BSOD garbage, just plug in the monitor into the mobo whenever you wanna render the video.

I have dual monitors so I just use Windows Key + P and change to the one plugged into the mobo and just render like that, then for gaming I just switch back to my main monitor.

It is sad but it is the only option right now.

I think I red that the Adobe Premiere Pro can be used with CUDA in 900 Series cards but you need to download a bunch of plugins and go through hell... I just stuck with Quick Sync for now...
