3820 + R4E + Stock Settings = 0x1D after an hour....

Thread Starter
As the title says I have the following equipment. My first board had a couple of problems, wasn't recognizing two dimm slots (B1 and B2) and even at stock settings I would get a 0x1D BSOD after almost exactly and hour of any stress test or idle. The board had a missing pin on my first R4E so I got and RMA from ASUS and put the new board in.

Good news, all my RAM slots are working fine. Bad news, I can't get rid of this blue screen.

VTT 1 was set to auto on the board and it had it up to 1.2 V, lowered it to 1.05 same issue, bumped it to 1.125, same issue, testing it at 1.1 and it's been about 15 minutes.
VTT 2 was on auto but was hanging out at 1.05 V and I just set it to 1.05 as that's where it should be.

CPU PLL was at 1.79 and I lowered it to 1.65 as it hasn't thrown any errors relating to PLL voltage.

I have no idea why this keeps happening. It's almost an hour exactly every time and it's getting extremely frustrating.

Any help?

What is your DRAM voltage and what about Vcore?

You could write all your PC specs.

DRAM is 1.5, stock for what I'm using with no OC, and it tests out fine in memtest.

VCore is 1.25, what Auto had the cpu set at when I powered the board on, and I just manually set it there as it wasn't too high.

I bump it to 1.325 if I OC it to 4.5 GHz and it tests fine until that 0x1D that occurs every hour.

Well when I brought it up to 1.2v on VTT 1 and that still didn't solve the problem I tried to go the other way and lower it, I'm not testing on .95V and will let you all know in approx an hour...

The memory in your sig is rated: 1600Mhz (PC3-12800) 1.65V using 6-8-6-24 timings
I'm guessing you're using a different setup since you said you're running the R4E. But if using the same Ram in your sig it should be 1.65v stock.
I might be way off here but that's all that comes to mind, I don't think I've had that BSOD before.

Nope, it's a kit of CMZ32GX3M8X1600C9 running 1600 @ 1.5V with 9-9-9-24 timings. I haven't updated my sig rig yet.

I guess I did alter from stock slightly as I am using the XMP profile for the RAM to bring it up to proper speed. I'll try to set it manually after the next crash.

Thanks for the attempt though.

I am noticing that the blue screen is showing iastore as the cause....however I'm kind of wary of the Raid driver causing issues.

I'm going to try uninstalling the rapid storage tech software and reinstalling it if it crashes again.

0x1D is usually related to a driver, in other words its not an overclock related code. Do you have the rest of the data associated with the code?

Yep...it was real easy to remember too...(0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)

I did get a different hourly crash when it dropped this time, 0x1E. This was after pushing the VTT down to 0.95V

Run your VTT at 1.1 for now, but regardless 1.1v is an all around good spot to run it. Btw 1E = add more vcore.

I upped the VCore after I got it to give me that error, but I find it strange that it's almost exactly an hour after windows boots that it crashes. Regardless of what the CPU is doing. It could be idle, it could be stress testing, an hour +/- 5 minutes.
