I can't find anything called gentle typhoon 1845. I can only find AP 11 to AP 15 and AP 29 to AP 31.

it has 17% more airflow and more noise; they didn't post the pressure ratings, but it's definitely higher on the AP-45. I doubt it'll make much difference, and it will definitely be louder.
One very important thing to keep in mind. You can always make a fast fan spin slower (aka spin the 2150rpm version at 1850rpm). You cannot, however, make the slower fan spin faster. (Well you probably can but I wouldnt recommend it lol)

So the 2150 version is the better choice.

This one is rated at 30dB vs the 28dB on the AP15s...so will it really be that much louder?

Thinking about replacing all my fans in my antec 1200 with these...Also going to use them for a push/pull on my h100

I would never run either at full speed and having fan @ over 2K is if you dont care about noise then go get some Deltas.

I agree.. although I don't run GT's. Having a fan that will run higher rpm than needed is cheap and simple way to have plenty of reserve cooling if or when you want it.

All fans in my system are PWM controlled idling at 660rpm and running 1050rpm under full load rendering graphics.. very quiet even at full load. Case fans are TY-140 (1300rpm/21dBA) and cooler fans are TY-143 (2500rpm/45dBA). Both are same noise level at same rpm. I can just hear them when they wind up to 1050rpm under load.. just enough so I know system is working hard. wink.gif
