Well I have no idea if that frickin' reflow happened or not, but either way I'm 6C cooler than my H100. And much sexier:

Actually I forgot to set my voltage properly when I said I was 6c cooler. CPU voltage was auto (DOH!). Once I manually set it to 1.275 and stressed it, temps were even better:

Post back here and let me know if you see temp graphs behave like the manual said. Mine sure didn't! I have no idea if that reflow happened or not!

Not air trapped there? If my pumps off temps don't rise all that quickly....

Forum misbehaving? Yes. It didn't load your triple post until I'd deleted the second mispost... been a bit wonky for a few days. If anyone triple/double posts in this thread, I'll fix it. thumb.gif

It depend on how much room you have in there. I didn't remove mine, but I have a small mobo in a big case, and girls hands. smile.gif

Thanks Alan! As for air trapping, here's the thing. I think the reservoirs are meant to work upright, but I had to lay the pig on its side for the reflow. So there was all kinds of soap suds: smile.gif

So I have no idea. Even with all those bubbles, the system was cooling things just fine, albeit with a lot more gurgling noises. When I killed the pumps, the temp shot to 100c and stayed there. Turned them back on after 4-5 minutes and the temp dropped immediately. No idea what the hell happened, but nothing cooked, so that's a plus. biggrin.gif

Nothing but impulse buying. smile.gif I wanted x79 for a number of reasons that I can't justify. Wanted the quad-channel memory, x79 is a bit more future proof, etc. I had an i7 920 running at 4Ghz, so I really had no reason to upgrade. I just got the urge. smile.gif No logic at all was used in the decision making process. biggrin.gif

Ahh your pics just knocked me over the edge and made me spend out on some new red UV tubing and 4UV cathodes. Damn you!

It also just struck me that most girls my age are spending money on heels and makeup, not computer components!
