Damn I just remembered I have 3 more of the CM fans sitting in a box. I forgot I wanted to go push/pull on the 360 at some point. DOH! So I do have spares. Time to do some testing.

Ok, forget that! Either option is too loud. The other 3 spare CM fans sound just like the ones I'm using now. The XSPC ones are a different loud, and either way I'd have to drain the loop and remove the 360 ran to change fans. Time to go shopping for some quiet fans!

But those have a noise all their own. Not sure which is worse! I think I'll power down right now and do that.

Socketus: thanks buddy. smile.gif I'm not done yet. I desperately need some right-angle fittings to clean up my tube runs. Gotta do some online shopping today!

Only problem with this is online shopping gets you excited and then will not be able to sleep again!!!

I can tell you from experience yet as i have not been able to test them against some other fans I have but a lot of people seem really happy with the AP-15's.. Maybe you should get a couple of those and try them..

I have SilenX Efizio 120x25mm 15dBA 74CFM Thermistor Fan(8ea), Koolance Fan, 120x25mm (FAN-12025HBK)(10ea), and AP-15's (14ea) and 10 ARCTIC F14 140mm fans along with some Bgears 140mm Fan Adapter - Black and Bitspower 140mm fan adapters.

So I can use 120mm fans on 140 rads or 140mm fans on 120 rads.. also have shrouds for 120 and 140mm so i will be able to tell you something about quietness in about a month.. LOL i know this won't do you any good now but maybe it will help someone because I also got a Pyle PSPL25 Digital Handheld Sound Level Meter so I will know for sure what the noise level is of the fans....

Good luck on getting rid of the noise!!! and today I want to get home to my carbon life form as she is quiet lets me do what I want when I want and just wants me to be happy. So no 10 minutes of attention before!!! LOL

Have fun tonight Bart and don't spend too much!!!!

Oh shopping doesn't get me THAT excited, unless it's for a brand new system. But for fans and fittings, no. wink.gif

I decided to swap out the Cooler Master SickleFlow fans in favor of the Xirulian fans that came with my XSPC radiator.

Drained the loop prior to removing the rad (LOVING this new QDC drain setup!):

Lo and behold, I managed to get the rad out without disconnecting it. This is the height of laziness, but it worked. My ugly tube runs finally show an advantage:

On the left, the XSPC/Xirulian fans. On the right, CM Sickleflow noisemakers.

Random pic showing the 140 / CPU / GPU connections. Primoshill 3/8 - 5/8 tubing bends nice even in tight places:

I removed the XSPC bay res face plate when the pumps started conking out. They've since been moved off the fan controller back onto the PS.

I noticed a decent amount of plasticizer crap good on the inside of some tubing I removed. All that old tubing is going in the garbage once I move into a 900D case. Hard to tell from pics, but there's some white flaky crap floating around in my loop:

Turns out the XSPC / Xirulian fans are just as bad, if not worse. I wonder if I have a case vibration here. The awful noise is coming from the rad, so I wonder if this is a screw or something. It's driving me nuts, but I can't shut it up!!
