overclocking p5n32-sli deluxe?..

Hi people,

Ive got a p5n32-sli board with 2 gig corsair and a e6600 cpu,

My Q is.. how do i over cliock in the bios, without putting my memory freq up,
I just want to put the mhz up of the cpu and keeping the fsb about 1100?...

Everything i try crashes the system, as if the memory is trying to over clock, which i dont want..

Any ideas please?

Cheers

Hi h00tsman,

Welcome to the forum Great name pick by the way...

Keep in mind that this board does have a booting issue with overclocking so as you are attempting to gain an overclock you very well will have black screens with a hard system lock, and many have had to resort to using the power supply kill switch to shut the system down as the four second press of the Case button does not shut it down.

It has been found that this motheboard undervolts the CPU and often by a solid tenth volt of the set value. So you will have to increase the voltage by +.1V

This could easily be the issue with your overclock. Increase your cpu core voltage by +.1V over your previous setting. Set your memory voltage to 2.1V and your NB chipset voltage +.1V as well.

If you look to the top of the web-page you will see a link called User CP (User Control Panel). Enter this area and look to the left table of contents. Choose "Edit System Specs" and set down your entire system specifications. This will help us to diagnose hardware issues.

I just got done finding the max FSB on this board in my friends case.

It stopped posting after 330 FSB.

I told my friend to get the E6600 and some G.Skill HZ's. Too bad this board is so limited on it's clocking ='(

Heh ropey, i was looking at your cpu, your getting 3.4 from it, mines fails after 2.6!!!,

Is this down to teh voltage too then you think?

I would love to get miine to 3g.

Question to get the cpu to run at 3.4, does this put the fsb right up?..or can it be 3-4 with 1100 fsb for instance, because im finding to get 2.5 my fsb is 1110....
