I have never used one of these before and I have always been interested in them. I mean they're not very cheap and some people claim them not to work at all. Yet all the pro players have them or even endorse them. I got in contact with one of the marketing employees of Gunnar and explained him about this project. He was very positive and offered me one of their glasses for the project (and added a shirt to give away to a viewer of one of my buildlogs). I can give them a try and see how they work for me. I have to say they already have a big + in the looks department. I think they look very stylish. Since this hardware will be powerfull enough to do some serious gaming I will use the glasses when trying to do some benching and when playing a hardware eating game to see how it performs
And of course with general computerwork. I have a job that requires a lot of screen time and I game as a hobby so their glasses should be very worthwhile for me.

Thanks a lot Nate and Kathy for this sponsoring wheee.gif
I will be sure to use them a lot thumb.gif

Awhile ago I tried to get prescription lenses with Gunnar glasses, which is just done by finding the SKU of the pair you want then go get your eyes tested. I did all that but then on the day I told my eye centre the SKU, they called Gunnar Australia and found that Gunnar Australia was struggling with supply and were not doing great business so I couldn't get any. Even without prescription lenses I would still want a Gunnar but I'm trying to get a couple of pieces for my next computer. Good luck with them, tell us what they are like.

I have gunnars and I really can't play games without them now.... They make it much more comfortable and they make long sessions easier on the eyes. Only problem I do have with them in the frame I got (RPG) if I wear headphones while wearing them the frame hurts my head so I just had to adjust the band on my headphones to make it feasible. Just make sure you invest some time in the frame selection. Otherwise I cannot deny that these are a must have for the gamer or anyone on the computer 10+ hours a day for work. If you dont like the amber (which I do, it makes the color more natural) they offer the Crystal lenses which still use the same technology to help your eyes take out the blue light.

I knew about the clear, they say if you play games or general computing get the yellow tint. But if you need proper rgb colours like for photoshop etc work you get the clear.
