The coolest thing to come out of the Necro, I was on BeoWulf and a Bear attacked us, i rolled a clean 20 and cut his head off, then I stuffed the head on a stick and my Necro friend turn the skull into Undea, so he obtain a +4 Fear Staff which Bites people randomly if they get too close
I'd vote for an 'Official DnD Discussion Room'
Relive tales from the past and share our nerdy joy lol
I tried playing a house game a short while back, maybe 2 months ago... but there was so much random discussion over pointless stuff i just couldn't focus. I stopped after the 2nd sessions and never looked back. I'm sure it was a good game, and it was VERY fleshed out, but man... 3-4 hours for a single combat and hardly any progress? No thanks
I don't have that patience anymore, and it wasn't even fun combat... just sorting out how the 12 or so npc goons with us would act, since WE had to control them and record their stats/etc, and then the constant reading, re-reading, and discussion of what we read on things that SHOULD have been read before game. If you're reading what one of your spells/talents does IN game, you didn't prepare
THAT is why i prefer DMing. Then if a game isn't fun, i only have myself to blame lol.
Heck, it's possible to do a Skype/Teamspeak DnD game anymore if people are honest. Just have the DM use diceroller.com or something and make the rolls.
