[GeForce] NVIDIA 310.70 WHQL Certified Driver - Page 8

i've never had a driver totally eff up windows before. sure it is working ok from a fresh install of windows but still that was ugly. the irony is it's 310.70 whql candidate to 310.70 WHQL which is basically the same thing smh

I've had tons of issues with nvidia drivers. this is by far the worst Iexperience I ever had with graphics card drivers and I've owned multi gpu configs the past few years
I agree. I have been having many issues with these new drivers and my setup. My only fix has been to revert to 6 month old drivers. C'mon Nvidia, it's not all about who has the highest FPS in BF3! You have to make these drivers work with every setup possible. Isn't that what whql means?

But to be fair Jprovido many AMD 7000 cards are having driver issues also. You are one of the lucky ones if you don't.

personally I have zero problems with amd drivers. nvidia drivers are decent when you get it to work properly but a driver update totally ruining my OS forcing me to do a clean install again was unacceptable imo. I find it funny how nvidia fanboys say their drivers are much better. I've had nothing but issues. I don't really mind fixing it I'm an enthusiast after all but if a driver messes up the OS it's a different story

I'm in the same boat. I think the only thing that's going to fix this mess is the fresh install. Literally never had problems with drivers before. 310.70 candidate did something that I've never even seen someone else have happen to them before. Well, aside from you. At least I know it wasn't something I did. But yeah, glad the fresh install works at least. I'm looking forward to having a functioning computer again hmmsmiley02.gif

spare yourself the trouble and just do a clean install of windows. avoid unwanted stress. it annoyed me for a few hours and I was genuinely pissed. if I knew I wasn't gonna fix it I would've just did a fresh install of windows from the start I would've saved a few hours.rolleyes.gif

Oh I know. I'm just waiting for the new HDD for Christmas before I do it. Don't want to bother doing it twice just for an extra couple days. I just browse on my phone for the time being. But online for games and everything works fine, so I'm just going to wait it out a few more days. Everything works except web browsers, so, I'll make it to the 25th. Just been troubleshooting for the hell of it in the meantime to see if there's a fix I can post for anyone else having the same problem.

I installed the 310.70 WHQL's on my rig and the drivers are working great.. so far. All the previous 310.xx beta drivers would cause my Windows 8 to flicker/black screen at bootup. I was kinda worried about the same issue happening with the certified WHQL's when I was installing. No issues as of yet. Everything, gaming wise, seems to be working great. thumb.gif

Worked pretty well for me.
Got a decent performance boost in BF 3 over the previous 306 drivers.
And off course you NEED TO HAVE THESE DRIVERS for Far cry 3.
