7900 gt vs 7950

7900 come with 256k and 7950 comes with 512
what do you think is better?
I will use this comp for hdtv recording , watching and heavy graphic processing.
any ideas??

The 7950GT also has higher clocks and HDCP.

If you can overclock the 7900gto some people say they can get to gtx speeds, but who am I to tell you this


I would go for a 7900gto, and oc the crap out of it, but if you're not sure, then go for the 7950gt.

SOME 7950GT's come with 256, some come with 512, it depends which one you buy, i would personally get the 512 Mb version of mine, just ignore the fact the 256 versions Clock higher than the 512 ones for some reason

Fellas, don't brake your heads guessing which one is faster or better, do it here: Video Card Comparison

And you know what guys, every single time I use that chart, the less I am like to buy the card, I don't know why but I've been on a limbo trying to figure out what I want and can't never come up with a straight answer.

But, this GS is still very fast, even though I do need an upgrade or will soon.

The 7950GT is a higher chipset and it's a better card overall.
