broke my G500 scroll wheel?

The scroll wheel in my g500 has been stopping early in games and browsing. Setting it to free spin it only goes a quarter of the way or so down a page. So i figured id use a little deoxit from when i fixed my keyboard. afterwards the scroll wheel is very hard to turn at all, when using it i have to use so much force the rubber comes off the wheel. I'm thinking the deoxit removed the original lube? Should I try some mineral oil or something before replacing it?

3 in 1 oil, or sewing machine oil. Did wonders for my fans and for my intellimouse wheel.

The mouse is 2 years old. The wheel is actually starting to loosen up to a usable point it just wont free spin after I roll it.. Maybe tomorrow it'll be even looser. the rubber isnt stretching off the wheel anymore either.

now that i think about it I think my keyboard had to undergo a drying period after using Deoxit before it was like new but that only took like 30 minutes.

I think I just washed the lube out... I could of sworn I seen lubricant listed on the label
