http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards....350&card2=466# (Be sure to go tothe Multi-GPU tab and click Show Dual-Card specs. You'll also have to multiply the benchmark by 2 for the X1600's, it won't do that automaticly for Crossfire. Figure a little less than double the single-card score.)

The X1950Pro is a much better card, it socres almost 1300 points better in3dMark 06 than the Crossfired X1600's.

However, if you prefer ultra-high resolutions, the xfire'd cards will probably do you better, as they are able to draw pixels at a much higher rate that a single card.

You cant simply double your score to get a xfire score its not that simple. With two x1600's I got over 4800 in 3dmark06, I can get close to 4900 with one x1950Pro. I didnt get a huge performance increase but I really like having only one card now plus I can view my card temps and control my fan. I had the Sapphire OC'd edition which are bascially a pair of x1600xt's. The x1950Pro can beat out a pair of 7600GT's in some games, so yes it would kick the crap out of two x1600Pro's.

Seems at higher end games the x1950 pulls ahead, I say get one and for how cheap they are get another later for CF and then no game can stand in your way.

Single X1950 Pro is better, only time I'd recommend dual cards is for dual high end cards when 1 X1950 XTX is not enough, such as for high res LCD gaming.

Even a single x1900xtx will run high res fine. So a x1950 should be able to do the same I would think.

I wouldnt say so even at high res the x1900XT still beats out the two cards, actually at the higher res the x1900 dominates. I tried to compare Oblivion at the highest res and the two cards did not even show up on the compare...

Ive seen a Benchmark test somewhere saying Otherwise..Ill try and find it. At higher resolutions im forced to agree that you may have a tough time.
