And that is the issue my friend... game was released unfinished, rushed, and lied about it's contents. Get it? Dont understand the whole everyone gets paid differently though wth.gif

Seems like a lot of these guys should of had some exposure to the modding community first before they tried to release a game... maybe it is not even their fault and it is the guy leading the project. I sure as hell know when I suck at something I am not going to try and make money out of it.... that is why I am not a pro gamer, even though that would be nice LOL.

New interview with Sergey. It definitely has a different tone than the other interview and it's nice to see him taking responsibility for what happened, but I can't help but feel he's just trying to clear his name. It's pretty easy to say this kind of stuff.. It's hard to tell if he actually feels this way since we've already seen his true colors.
I already covered that. What happens when skills are implemented and it is less appealing to just go and delete characters that you've been working on for a while?

Maybe they might change it in the future when the skills are implemented. IDK

Who said I didn't get it. This whole time i wasn't saying it wasn't unfinished, rushed, or lied about. LOL. Obviously it was rushed into steam unfinished.

Any good developer could do it in a week, and that's why dayz is taking half a year to be developed from beta since initial release?
Day Z spent 3 months being developed by ONE person as an after-work hobby to get to the point War Z currently is at... Day Z is far more complete of a game than War Z is atm, and the Day Z devs don't even remotely claim to be a full game yet. Valve removed it from Steam because, ahem,
THE GAME'S DEVELOPERS WERE BREAKING THE LAW BY FALSELY ADVERTISING.

It's not a money grab. You don't have to spend ANY money in that game at all. People just choose to. They give you an option so freaking use it, dont bash it.
Bankofanerica, com isn't a scam, you just have to type better rolleyes.gif It's a money grab in that it is riding on Day Z's coattails, required payment to enter alpha/beta, went from beta to "foundation" in less than a month, promising things it doesn't (and most likely never will) have, doubling up paid entry with microtransactions, and having absolutely zero public accountability shown from the developer. Oh, and let's not forget that the lead dev was also lead dev on the game industry's most infamous money grab...

What you don't understand is that this debacle just made most of the War Z's dev team pariahs in the gaming community, and by extension dangerous to hire. Most knew it would when they signed on (or at least once they saw behind the curtain), and the reason the team didn't go running is the team's made up of two segments: the ones with experience that have been fired/didn't get their contract renewed by respectable game devs, and there's a handful of fresh-out-of-college programmers that didn't have the grades to go to the bigger developers. There's reasons these devs weren't paid top dollar. I feel sorry for the latter because they're probably looking at 5+ years out of the industry to build up a resume and let the memories of this game fade before they're able to return to the industry they wanted to work in.

League of Legends too! That is the ONLY game that is free that I have played for so long... They just do it right. They do it so well, a lot of my gaming budget I set for myself goes to buying stuff from there haha. I support the games I love.

You argue like a child, interpreting other peoples arguments hyper-literally when it suits you. In this case, it was OBVIOUS that software was games. We, OCN'ers, typically build our "$600" rigs to game.

Anyway, it's not just my opinion, and there was plenty of evidence of WarZ being in a crap state, or at least in a state that was contradictory to what the developers were claiming. Just accept that and move on. If you like it, so what, the rest of us see what it is, and will wait for it to actually be what the developers are promising, or we'll move on to DayZ.

Fixed! thumb.gif Taxi Racer was a pretty clear ripoff of Crazy Taxi and Midnight Race Club Supercharged was a ripoff of the Midnight Club games. This guy is known for working on ripoffs and awful games.

warz does not in anyway deliver what it promises.

however, i do enjoy playing whatever it is for now, with my friends. if it doesnt get any better, i can just switch games later.

FUNNESS for games is too subjective. we can talk objectively about its flaws, but if someone enjoys it then all points are moot. stop trying to convince one another your points are correct when it is a subjective point of view. its like AMD guys trying to convince NVIDIA guys that they are better and vice versa. if they are happy with their purchase leave them alone. we can discuss why its good and bad, but theres no point trying to convince a happy camper that whatever he decides to put his/her money on is "stupid, worthless, or a scam". we are here to give pros and cons about things, so people can make informed decisions. why try to sway masses to be in favor of YOUR opinion? just let it be, if you don't like it then explain why, but stop there. no use talking down on people who do enjoy it..

we all play for the same team here guys, come on!

Nobody is saying you cannot enjoy it. Find me one person who does. If you enjoy, the better, by all means.
People are pissed on false advertising (illegal) and the stance the developer takes against the community.
Do you really think Valve removed it from steam cause people didn't like it?
