New patch today:
Early revive was removed
Revive time is set to 1 hour

Scoreboard was updated
After dying, you will get disconnected automatically in 60 seconds
Some more Christmas items were added. Try to find them in the Colorado
Zombies were optimized, should improve framerate in Campos, Boulder city
Fixed an issue with items sometimes falling through the ground
Fixed an issue when you were not able to pick up an item if it is partially inside the wall
Fixed an issue that using bandages on other player were not updating item's cool-down properly
Crosshair in 3rd person view was improved
Fixed an issue with grass on low frame rate
Come on, the people who own this game can't say these guys don't listen to the majority. It sucks that the hackers who were banned keep up their protest how "bad" the game is thus creating misconception.

Oh sorry I never knew you were the mouthpiece for hammerpoint... the company blatantly misrepresented their game and then in a later interview showed total disregard for points that were brought up. The game is poorly finished, if you can't see that then I am afraid you are a fanboy.

This changes absolutely nothing about how the game was "released" or the dev's track record up til now, even before this game. Their reputation is forever tarnished. I'll be extremely surprised if this game ever really gets anywhere, especially where it was promised.
Completely agreed. The game started out based on a lie- "production started before Day Z"- and has just gone south from there. You don't get props for doing the right thing when the only reason you're doing it is the alternative likely involves jail time. War Z is going to be "supported" just long enough that they can slink away without fanning the media firestorm.

Only adresses one of the faults tough.
Doesn't changes the fact that it was false advertised and was illegal.
Doesn't changes the fact the developer being a complete and utter dick against the community by blaming them and trying to weasel out the issues during the interviews with meaningless terms and excuses.
Doesn't changes the fact that the alpha/beta went on steam; had a cashshop with one of the worst systems ever.

It's good that they patch it (and not only for the consumers, valve is after them most likely if they didn't) but that doesn't change a couple facts that are impossible to remove.

They are still lying. They changed their claims of map size to 100km^2, but the actual map size is only a fraction of that: http://www.pcgamesn.com/article/how-big-war-zs-map

Some have accused the released version of The War Z of not being feature complete. But there’s a problem with this argument, and it’s on I think is important to address: being feature complete would imply that The War Z has any features at all. And that’s simply unfair on Hammerpoint.

So funny.

Yea, Amazon as well. Both companies are extremely customer focused, putting customer opinion and satisfaction almost as high as their profits in terms of importance, which makes them more profitable.

Heck, Forbes estimates Gabe Newells net worth to be $1.4 Billion! He made the Billionaire list this year, by estimation at least. Which doesn't surprise me, as I won't buy a game unless it is DRM Free standalone, or activates on Steam. If I have to have DRM on my product, I would prefer it be Steam, at least they try and polish the turd.....

I won't go near it just for the fact that they randomly ban players for the hell of it, and try forcing them to purchase again.

I think the most documented and proven case of this was the Video Producer from the website Just Press Start. He bought into beta to do a review and the next day was banned, he sent an e-mail to Hammerpoint and was given some BS cookie-cutter reply back by their outsourced Customer Service department.

Scam is a scam is a scam, because it scams people! SCAM!!!

This link to Forbes has the link to the Just Press Start page, which is currently down due to being slammed by traffic.

Just got my refund this morning!

Seriously don't see how they can charge people for the game in its condition.

Anyone that doesn't manage to get a refund post "Steam Launch", even if not purchased via Steam is a goober. It would take absolutely nothing to just call your bank's debit/credit card service and have them refund the charge, forcefully, due to false advertising.

Steam would then go ahead and cancel your account denying you access to all of your games. Follow the correct Steam procedure or lose it all.
Obviously this doesn't apply if you purchased via a different method.
