I am an FPS gamer but i am also about to enter college (a lot of typing) and i am a programmer.
Price is not really a problem for me as long as the product will last.

I have been looking at the Ducky DK-9008 Shine 2 with brown switches and the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2013.
I love the fact that the razer has the macro keys as it would be great when programming but the keyboard has blue switches (I can't get the stealth edition where i am yet [new zealand]) and i would rather have the brown so i can still use the keyboard at night.
Everyone on this website seems to suggest the ducky but on youtube they seem to like the razer blackwidow better.
I know people (including myself) have had problems with razer's build quality before but the features of the keyboard seem so much better than the ducky.

any advice is appreciated including suggestions of better or other keyboards.

I have the gunmetal gray one with the CM logos on the front and the LEDs that hurt your eyes in a dark room. I might paint it and get some new keycaps when I have some time.
