Howdy! Just letting you know I'm still here!!! Things have been busy, and I've been waiting on a bunch of stuff to get here. There's going to be a lot more case modifications, but I need the stuff to come in to do most of them. I've also been stuck without access to my Dad's saw and welder so I still haven't had a chance to cut any of the panels yet. I'm going to make a new motherboard tray out of aluminum and doors out of acrylic. The doors will open suicide, and a metal wizard friend of mine is making a unique drive bay door for me that I'll hinge up to open gull-wing style. I have some Phantom 820 stuff coming in that will be blended into these plastics, such as the 820 USB inputs, p/w and fan controller, and namely the HUE unit. Gonna be fun...
In the meantime I've also been having some hardware issues. Pray that I get these sorted out!
Oh and there's been a few changes to the plan. I'm going to use the new Swiftech H220 and expand on it with an MCR320-QP (360 rad) and my Komodo block, rather than using the Apogee Drive II. So I'll have a lot more cooling power, but also an extremely tight fit once I cut the dimensions down. I'm cutting 5.125" in height and should be able to cut a full 3" in length out since I'm making my own mobo tray.
Also I redid the front panel plastic "welds" to make them stronger, melting in some metal mesh for strength, since this panel will be hanked off from time to time for maintenance. I'm out off filler, but once I get more this will come to life a lot better
Oh and anyone who might be curious about the F-100 model I was working on before, here's a couple pics of where I'm at with it, though it's boxed up for now till I have less projects going on.
