Damn. That's unfair, loading times shouldn't count.

I guess it's to score your "whole" PC

That said, i'm not sure how much it actually counts for tbh redface.gif

LOL, how is that unfair? If you take 5 minutes to load (I know that is outrageous, it's just an example) and I take 30 seconds, it shouldn't be fair for us to score the same, ever! It definitely should be factored!

Roll your eyes because I run my 760 just as much as my Tis.

Also, my loading times are slightly slower on my 3770k @ 4.1ghz compared to my 4770k @ 4.5ghz.. Even when I use the same card in the other system.

Hell, when get my 3930k in, and mother board, I will put the 760s on there and see how much better they score over the 3770k, which will help with load times. So, a bigger, better cpu shouldn't help?

..some observations I have made regarding this bench.. and tuning for better scores

Better CPU or more threads = good for increasing physx test score

Faster GPU core = improvements in Fur test, Overall and Fluid test

Faster GPU memory = improvements in RayMarch test (CPU can bottleneck GPU for this test too)

*HT off for 3770k only affect physx score by ~50points  = (characteristic of using ATI.. and having CPU run Physics test)

*Tightening memory latency and\or increasing speed will help boost Physx, Fur and Overall tests

*adjusting bclk can help/hurt loading time scores

*Run bench from RAMdisk for better loading times (assuming you have enough mem for it  ;) )

 For my daily system;

3770k

6950 TFII

increasing CPU from 4.5ghz to 4.7ghz was good for increase in RayMarch test of ~20 points

increasing GPU core speeds by 25mhz (with CPU at 4.5ghz) - resulted in RayMarch increase of 5points

increasing GPU core speeds by 25mhz (with CPU at 4.7ghz) - resulted in RayMarch increase of 15points

This is just question, out of curiosity: Don't you mean Physics, since it is cpu bound, where you says PhysX, which is a gpu feature? If it were PhysX, I run a dedicated PhysX card, which would make a massive difference whether enabled or disabled, but being as Physics are CPU bound, the 750ti makes no difference.

I want to disagree - though I OCed CPU and then GPU there's no change - always FPS are between 56 - 58

I think he just made mistake - he wanted to write about Physics test

Physx = Physics .. as you stated for this bench its CPU bound

@ szarky.. not sure what test your referring to. There are other variables to consider though which are platform dependent as well... what system are you running? (i dont see sigs in my OCN)
