Almost $30 tongue.gif. I broke my rule even on CS:GO and THPS HD Complete. CS:GO will definitely get played. With me having nearly 1300 hours in CS:S, I think it's a safe assumption CS:GO is going to see the same love...hopefully. THPS HD was for pure nostalgia. I'm considering pretty much anything under $5 now. I want The Witcher 2, but at $7.49....meh tongue.gif.
I'm actually curious about this as well. I'm trying to convince my friend to get a CoD on PC, and I would rather it be 4. I have a physical copy of the game, so a good answer to your question would convince me to install it again.
I thought that was strange, too. wth.gif

I bought so many games on steam and amazon so far

Alice Madness Returns
Crazy Taxi
Syndicate
Duke Nukem Forever
Borderlands
Darkness II
Darksiders
Deadlight
GTA SA and VC
I Am Alive
Limbo
Mass Effect 1 and 2
Max Payne 1 and 2
Prince of Persia
Sine Mora

I may buy Orcs Must Die Franchise also lol. I think spent around $50-60 so far

I've never played The Witcher, mostly because I haven't had room for it in my backlog (still really don't). At $2.50 it's hard to pass up the first one to give it a shot. My question is, is the first worth getting or should I just jump right into The Witcher 2 for five bucks more?

I'm too broke to make many purchases on this sale, sadly. I not only spent over $300 on the Steam summer sale, I also spent $500 on Star Citizen (robertsspaceindustries.com) and then I bought my new computer which by itself costed $1,700 but if you include the extra peripherals I bought as an afterthought, it costed about $2,400.

so yeah....I'm too broke for this sale.

Keep in mind Natural Selection 2 is made by an indie developer, for the majourity of development the team only consisted of less than a dozen people and they built an in-house engine from the ground up and at the time they were also supporting their first game, Natural Selection for Half-Life 1.

I'm not sure when you guys last played Natural Selection 2, but since the beta the game has become exceptionally more polished, no more horrendous low fps issues and net code issues. The game is smooth, graphical fidelity is high, in particular the lighting affects are quite good. The devs are also very active with their players on the forums and even in-game sometimes. Taking feedback into consideration when working on patches, releasing mod tools, etc. They are also big on balance, pushing the game towards e-sports. The NS2 community in general is also very nice, helpful and regularly uses in-game VOIP to coordinate, have fun and have snow ball fights in the ready room.

I'm actually curious about Alice: Madness Returns. The gameplay looks interesting and unique enough to warrant a play, but it's on my 'eh...we can wait and see if it'll get down to $2.49' list.

I would wait till it comes back down to $5 or lower... I have it, finished it, and feel that the game's only redeeming quality is its artwork/environment (the stages are absolutely enchanting worlds with video settings maxed).
The actual gameplay gets old really fast: endless jumping and gliding with some Zelda-style fighting thrown in... shame too since its so visually creative.

Vote for Dota 2. It is going to be good if it is 75% off. Awesome game so far that everyone should try. It's harder than LoL.

Anyways, Dota 2 is the most played game in steam right.now, everyone should give it a shot
post #229 of 381
At this point, no one should be buying DOTA 2, you can easily get it for free. So many people have extra invites to it & it is worth next to nothing in the steam trading community.

Isn't it supposed to be going F2P soon anyway?
