If you motherboard comes with a Gigabit adapter (1.0 Gpbs), and you do LAN games or X-box live type of thing, I would suggest D-Link DGL-4300. That is what I am using and I can have Matrix Online, WOW and X-box live, all at the same time with almost no lag. Top that with Ventrilo and someone else streaming music from the wireless network.
Note: Only the wired connections will be Gigabit, all others will be at the max the wireless NIC can put out. This router also offers all the accelerated "G" combinations for superfast wireless connections. I had a Netgear, it was good, but not fast enough and quite cranky if I may add.
The DGL-4300 is b, g compatible, 4 Gigabit ports. I got mine from Best Buy.
Note; Stay away from all pre-N routers. They are not ready for prime time yet. No significant gains over g.
