H100 High Pressure Fans

Thread Starter
I've just recently ordered myself a H100i as an upgrade from my h80 which I've been running for little over a year now. After as little as a few months I realised that the stock 120mm fans that shipped with the H80 were dreadful but I never got around to upgrading them. So preemptively I want to grab 2x120mm High Static Pressure fans before my unit arrives to run in a push configuration on the rad. From review and various videos around the web I'm now unsure on my initial choice (the SP120's) so do you guys have any suggestions on what I should use?

SP120s are awesome. Got 2 of the quiet editions on my H80i at the moment. When I had my H100 I had 2 of the high performance editions and they kept it really cool whilst being really quiet.

So would you recommend me putting 2xSP120's in push config on the h100i?

The H100i comes with fans that are slightly modified from the SP120's. You should try them out before placing an order on SP120's. I have the one that came with an H60 2nd gen and a SP120, and so far the only differences I can tell are:
  • No color ring on H100i fan
  • PWM
  • No rubber silencers around fan mounts

I've read the SP120's don't work with the fan controller on the H100, but I'm not sure about the H100i. If they don't, the SP120's on full blast make some considerable noise from the airflow.

Would you recommend Gentle Typhoons over NF-F12's?

NO, NF-F12 is better than gentle typhoon, but both of them are great choice. NF is also having better cable sleeving, etc

I'll probably end up ordering te NF-F12's as they'll fit much nicer in my 600T, very ugly fans but from what I've read they seem virtually silent at idle
