WOW... thats a chunk of change. Congrats to those that get it now. When AMD decides to start a price war w/ Intel at the quad core level I'll upgrade to dual core. The things they come up

Isn't that high price because that CPU is aimed at the business market rather than single user? I don't think its much better than an FX-62 tbh, IF it IS actually any better.

It's meant to be run with 3 other 8xxx series. Using four of them, they kick Intels arse, period.

It's about time Intel released a good product, competition is only good, keeps the prices down for us. Just look at the ATI and NVIDIA wars, new cards are getting pumped out every few months and it's back and forth who has a better card out, and we just reap the rewards.
Well the benchmarking sites would all disagree, the XP2600 was slower than the P4 2.6 and when the XP3000 came out the P4 HT came out and then the margin really did get rather large followed by the bus increase to 800mhz, and thats when they killed the XP, I can promise you a Pentium4 3.06HT would kill your XP at 2.3ghz

Any benchies?

And you should compare apples to apples If you have an Intel Quad CPU solution with a bunch of Conroe based Xeons, we'll have to see who wind
