Fan controller!

I had to mask the screen of course. I was still worried that some spray paint would seep in through hairline cracks, but the tape did it's job.

Cleaning up the edges with a razor.

Knobs are white, too.

All back together.

Before pic for comparison

Some of you know that the switch 810 has a "stealth drive" bay, so you can use a normal dvd drive while using their drive cover. (see below)

Doing that means your drive has to be moved back ~1 inch or so. (see the top bay below)

But I can't do that if I put my radiator + fans up there, so I need to drop it down one bay. So...just drill some holes!

Painted white...

Lines up very nicely.

Even more paint, I swear it will end soon!

Even the screws.

Tell me if you do, I could give you quite a few tips. What I'm actually doing right now is fitting the rad in. I've had to do some sanding already to make it fit, but it'll work. I'll try to post some pics when I get home tonight if I remember.

Edit: Ok! Got some pics.

These are minor issues, but anyway...

I probably will use holes that were pre-drilled. They were meant for a motherboard w/ two cpu's, but it doesn't matter.

I rubbed a bit of paint off by spinning the res "holder" in it's place.

I'm just gonna put a dab of paint on the case, but I sanded the corners off the "holder" so It wouldn't happen again.

When I put in the hard drive cage, part of the fan assembly collides with the "holder".

So I sanded that down just enough...

There's the problems I've ran into so far.

Edit: Also, I drilled a hold into the side of the drive cage's "fan holder" so the cable's will look a bit nicer.

Quick update!

All the screws are being replaced with red ones(or pink thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif )

Making another hole for the internal rad fan cables.

Oops! Pushed too hard, good thing it won't be visible.

More drilling.

After sanding. I did realize that a dremel would have been easier to use.

I'm only showing the upper fan cables routed, but there's room for all 6.

biggrin.gif Thanks, all.

PPCS is processing an order right now (hurry up and ship!) that has the waterblocks, tubing, and a few knick-kacks to tidy everything up.
The order! (Click to show)

I'll upload more photos tonight.
