Thanks - it was awfully tedious but I enjoy the few comments I've received about attention to detail:D

This is a really beautiful build, man. I always felt like strawberry shortcake colors would be a bit off putting, but you made it really awesome! Now I feel like making my next build that...and I JUST finished my first build less than 5 days ago.

Warning, Stupid question ahead: how exactly did you "sew" your cables together like you show in the pics? My cables tend to go all over the place, but I feel like if I were to do what you did, it'd be a lot more organized and sexier.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La6LbgnZJco - Here's the video guide everyone usually follows to cable sew. A quick question for you, Gen: How did you paint the pointer on the fan controller red? Crazy attention to detail in that regard biggrin.gif

Great build and good luck in the future with the rest of your builds.

Great build and good luck in the future with the rest of your builds.

Builds will be few and far between, as I don't really build for a sponsor or anything, but thanks!smile.gif

For the pointer, I just got a fine bristle off a brush, dipped it in a bit of paint, and lightly wiped it onto the knobs.

As far as joy riding goes, I'm making a stable 4.5 clock. As of now cpu-z is reporting 1.168 vcore. Temps are averaging at 51C.

Once I finish up this overclock, I'll be sure to post up the validation.

Doh! This is one sweet build!

The funny thing is I'm in the middle of my own build (The Virus Lab) and had planned on a very similar painting scheme on the case (except in green). You just took the picture I had in my head and made it reality... and the detailed breakdown of the process you provided will save me some headaches. Hopefully people will see the imitation as a sincere form of flattery and not a copycat... but only because you started before I did biggrin.gif

It wasn't clear if you painted your fasteners or ended up picking up anodized screws in the end. If anodized, where did you order from?

Some are painted, like the long ones attaching the fans to the radiator, and the pumps screws.

Most are anodized. The 6-32 threads I think I got from here.
The m3 threads I got from here.

Those thumb screws are a a bit pink, so imagine your color, with some white added.

However, the hex screws for the motherboard / gpu backplate and such were from here. I really like these guys - I ended up using some flat heads and socket heads. Although be sure to know what threads you need (computers are mostly 6-32 or m3). I just bought some of both.

Thank you very much for the information and links. Sadly it seems that no one does green anodizing. Anywhere. So painting seems to be my best bet. I could powdercoat them but it would change the threading diameter a tad (6-32's would end up and just about M4) according to my friendly neighborhood powdercoating shop.
