E6600 option if you will be able to get a 2nd stick of RAM in a few months.

E6300 option if that is all you are going to get for awhile. The OC you can get will make up the difference.

The DS3 mobo from gigabyte is almost as good, but there is nothing out there that rivals the OCability of the Asus P5B Deluxe mobo, it's worth it's weight.

I have a E6300 at 3.0 right now and going for 3.4Ghz soon. The e6300 can hold it's own and def compete with the E6600. It is a lot cheaper too.

That MoBo is the best for an E6300.......but I think the GIGABYTE DS3 is also another great choice. except I have no experience with that one.

for RAM, this here is what I'd recommend:
1- Crucial Technology Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 $260 AMIR, it's an excellent price and $100 off.

2-Xtreem DDR2 800 $288. Which I'm pretty sure it could also scale to 1000mhz easy.

That MoBo and the E6300 will sure hit 3.0ghz but also with a good heat-sink/fan, not the stock, something like a Thermaltake Big Typhoon or Tuniq Tower 120.
