Very impressive build!! smile.gif

I have that exact same mobo, Z77 Extreme9, nothing really impressive, the Wi-Fi module it came with was so weak, there was no signal anywhere, I had to get a PCI wireless card, and in the beginning, the USB 3.0 ports didn't work, even with drivers. And not a big fan of the nasty brown PCB. Personally, a Gigabyte Sniper 5 mobo would have gone much better with the color scheme.

Nothing really impressive? It's one of the few 1155 boards that will run 2xSLI at full 16x, this automatically puts it ahead of the sniper. maybe luck of the draw but my board has been working flawlessly, all my ports work fine, I swapped the wifi module with one from an old laptop, and even then I use the Ethernet ports. Instead of buying a new wifi card you should have bought a powerline kit.and seriously you can barely tell that the PCB is brown.

Yeah, I guess, I got an i5 3570K on it, but I'm moving onto 4th gen, since I'm starting video editing and rendering, as well as hardcore gaming. How's your Wi-SB box working on it, did you get a full signal when you tried it before you got the laptop one? And I'm thinking of getting the Trooper case for my next build. Can you fit an H110 up top in push/pull or is it too tight? Cause I'm looking for a case that has a lot of 5.25" bays.

what type of paint did you use for the frame? I really like the color.. I just bought the CM Trooper case.. and just moved cases with my build.. my old build used a Corsair 400R.. and had painted a bit of the trim with a UV reactant green spray paint.. but i REALLY like the way yours looks.. and the green is a bit brighter... I'm going to do some other mods aswell.. just wanted to know about the type and color name of the paint you used

Hey, I just saw this post when I got the notification for this other post but, yeah I totaly forgot about that "Wi-SB" I don't remember what kind of signal I got with that thing, I took the antannae off that thing pretty early on and just mounted them to the case, so that probably increased my signal strength. I don't think you could, ff the top of my head I think the h110 rad is 25mm thick so push pull will get you to 75mm total unit thickness, from what I remember there are 40mm from the top of the case to the top of a standard ATX MOBO. So without shifting the unit away from the MOBO I don't think you can

It's not paint, it's powdercoat, the color I believe is RAL6024, RAL is a standard color chart any pro you goto should know what it is. I don't know if I got ripped but the powdercoat costed more than the case itself, I think I paid $170 US.

Yea, Powdercoating is costly.. at least it can be.. it is a highly sought after coating..

thanks for the info.. I will see if I can't find something... the spray paint I used on my other case might suffice.. I will check it out.. thanks

Yeah, thanks benito! I got my new Haswell parts all set-up, just can't decide on a case. The trooper is nice, I just dislike the built in fan controller and the way the LED button is set up, I couldn't use my Bitfenix fans that also had 2PIN connector for controlling the LEDs, since they were both female. And the fact that the controller only supports 3PIN fans, not 4PIN.
