You need to be more specific.

under 500 dollars for the watercooling alone? or is this the total amount you are willing to spend for the entire rig including the watercooling?

I am simply amazed at the amount of work that MaDeuce50,Yoi,Tybergbass did in this thread.A big "Thank You" and your job that was so well done is very much appreciated.

EDIT: I hope I did not miss anyone,it was not intentional.

OCN unite! thumb.gif I am a "beginner" myself, but I've done a TON of research over the past month. I know how it feels to be in the dark. Always good to have some guidance.

yeah , i remember when i dived into water cooling , i remember not understanding the fitting sizes at all and all because im not a "tools person" lol words like thread , Outside diameter , inside diameter , gallons per hour , head pressure etc .... watts as in .... 300w thermal dissipation lol

serial and parallel flow and splitting flows and more complicated stuff about watercooling smile.gif

The EX was designed for slower fan speeds.
False the EX rad is meant for faster fans.
RX is meant for slower fans.

Ive seen both sides of that story. People say they are for faster fans, people say they are for slower fans, some people even say medium. The main purpose of that post was to let the OP know that the EX is a step below the RX in overall performance.

Edit: A prime example found HERE which states EX Rads perform better for slower fan speeds which has been posted on many threads.

Hi Guys!

Hopefully you don't mind if I ask my question here smile.gif

I am planning to get my first water cooling loop. I have already ordered switch 810 and corsair psu.

So, the idea is to set the loop for my current CPU i7 920, then to reuse it when I upgrade to LGA 2011 (when the price drops smile.gif )

I will do GPU cooling after lga 2011 upgrade is done, so for now CPU only (which I want to overclock)
Target is to have this loop quiet, if quiet setup can only be achieved, let's say, on 4Ghz - I am OK with that.

I have searched and read some topics, and that is what I came up with:

Do I miss something?
