Motherboard + Case decision?

Attempting to get my proposed build completely sorted for the boxing day sales.

Honestly the sheer number of motherboards in my £90 budget is quite overwhelming and help would be appreciated.

Build:

Case: TBD

CPU i7 3770k

GPU: Gigabyte HD 7870 1100 clock

Ram: 16gb Corsair LP Vengeance (2x8gb)

PSU: Novatech PowerStation Gaming 600W Silent ATX2 Modular

Optical: LG Dvd r/w

HDD: 1TB Seagate barracuda

SSD: 120GB OCZ Vertex 3

Cooling: Corsair h60i (maybe a h80i if theres room)

Plan on gaming, fairly hardcore video editing/rendering, photo editing. Wifi isn't necessary, decent onboard sound would be appreciated, the option to add another 7870 at a later date would be nice but not a deal breaker. Will be overclocking.

Some options:

Yeah, I know a **** load of them, sorry.

Have around the same sort of £90 budget for a case, would prefer a window as I like to show off with blue LED fans and whatnot was thinking the Zalaman z11, MAYBE the nzxt phantom 410 or the Corsair 200r, completely open though.

Thanks for reading.

I would get a better PSU then that and its a little overkill 550 sould be more then enough for that system if you will only run a single card

Try and find one from the list http://www.overclock.net/t/183810/faq-recommended-power-supplies

Thanks for the reply smile.gif

I have used the novatech line in the past and they've always been reliable, heres a link to that particular model for you to take a look.

That one is almost just as bad

I would say from amazon and from the list this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/NZXT-HALE90-550-S-PC-power-supply/dp/B003YFITNI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1356438054&sr=8-5

Due note that its not modular

What makes them so bad? I've used both brands in builds before and never had one fail me.

I am not saying they will blow up or catch fire the second you turn them on but they are not great PSU´s either OCZ has had some really crappy PSU´s in the past same deal with Cooler Master

If you need to buy a new PSU try and find the cheapest from the list

Happy? biggrin.gif

I'm normally not a fan of XFX but hey, it's on the list has 4 Pci-e connectors and apparently has a fairly quiet fan.

Final build plans:

Case: Nzxt Phantom 410 Black

CPU i7 3770k

GPU: Gigabyte HD 7870 1100 clock

Ram: 16gb Corsair LP Vengeance (2x8gb)

PSU: XFX P1-650S-UKB9 Pro Series Core Edition 650W Power Supply

Optical: LG Dvd r/w

HDD: 1TB Seagate barracuda

SSD: 120GB OCZ Vertex 3

Motherboard: Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z77X-D3H

Cooling: Corsair h60i (maybe a h80i if theres room)

Coming in at around £ 930

The FSP Aurum gold 700w was kind of an option but it would have been overkill even if I did decide do decide to get a second 7870
