That's not the Marvell stuff through the early drivers/firmware were crap and caused BSoD's - remeber it's the World's First consumer SATA solution.

But the biggest problem is that it is wired to PCIe x1 thus crippling the bandwidth, go see some X58A-OC benchmarks it performs far better because it has 88SE9182 vs. 9128 for most X58 boards.

is there anything that i can do like does a pci card with sata 3 ports exist or something else??
cause paying 220€ to have half the performance is killing me

Half of seq performance is not noticeable for typical OS use....just saying.

Access times and random speeds are about the same on both SATA 3Gb/s and 6Gb/s. That what matters, not seq.

i dont care about benchmark scores so if your saying that in real life use those values dont make a big difference im glad wink.gif

Yeah Phileps what sean said, real world performance you are not going to notice it, you would only really notice it in benchmarks, 4k read/write is really what makes the SSD feel so fast and as you can see there really isn't any difference between SATA3 and SATA6

depends on the size of the file, even then everything will be faster than a HDD given that your CPU is not a bottleneck.
