Benq XL2420TX Settings Question

Thread Starter
So I just got one of these Benq monitors after hearing such great praise over them from my friends, and while so far I think its an amazing monitor I cannot access all of the monitors settings. No matter what mode I'm in i cannot adjust anything in the display menu or most of the color settings like saturation and hue. I tried it connected through HDMI and every things greyed out. I currently have it connected through DVI and everything remains greyed out. I read through the whole damn manual and it doesn't say why options would be unavailable other than installing the driver which was the first thing I did. I would really like to change some of these settings so if someone who owns one of these mofo's could give me some advice I'd appreciate it greatly.

One thing some people forget to use is the DVI-D cable (dual link). Did you plug in and use the adapter for accessing the menu on the monitor?

EDIT: Here is a huge forum all about these monitors

EDIT:2 Your Black Equalizer might be turned on, why everything is so grey.

EDIT3: If you are using the scroll wheel, you can push it and it will select that part of the menu and take steps into the next part of the menu....hmm does that sound right?

Yeah it's all plugged in properly. I don't mean i see grey everywhere, I mean the monitors menu settings are greyed out and I cannot select them.

Ahh monitor menu grey, wow umm that does not sound right. Mine has a black background and color symbols/ white text. I don't know....maybe try to restart pc and turn monitor off/on.

There might be something wrong with it. I hope you don't have to exchange it for another one.

Hi.

Is someone using this in 3D with Windows 8?

BenQ website stands compatibility just with Windows 7 (/Vista).

I would like just to be reassured all will be perfect (as happens with big brother XL2720T I do not want).

Thanks a lot.

Goodbye!
