Greetings everyone. About two months ago or so my, Antec True power 50 kicked the bucket. My computer was acting strangely and it eventually shut off as I as using it. I then went to the computer to investigate, and the power supply smelled like burnt toast. I went out and purchased the OCZ 700w power supply. The computer initially would not turn on. I tried to play with several cables thinking that there was a loose connection, and I proceeded to try to turn it on. It only would flicker on for a second and then shut off. After doing that a couple of times, I smelled a similar burning smell, although not as strong. After adjusting and playing with a couple of more cables, I got it to turn on with no problem. Now today, I turned the computer off to install a new CD-ROM drive, and I can not get it to turn back on for the life of me. I once again smelled a slight burning smell, and had the same symptons as before. The motherboard power light is solid yellow, and does not flicker. I believe I am missing two motherboard stand off's, but I dont have it screwed into the case at those points. The first power supply never exhibited problems with the stand off's being like this. Any suggestions?
