I seem to get better temperature in my Raven than I did in my Phantom, with less fans too.

That's because of the 90degree flipped mobo and hot air naturally wanting to rise! Which is the whole reason with my water cooling build I kept all the stock fans running normally so my mobo heatsinks and HDD could benifit from the air flow and still have all my rads inside the case!

RV03 owners....

I dont have RV03 yet but I am planning to have it...

but just a quick question.... can you fit a 240 rad in the 5.25 expansion base? If so.. can you still fit a BLU ray or DVD drive after it? a picture is of course a big help. thumb.gif

edit: I read somewhere that a 240mm rad would fit but you cant install optical drive anymore...... this answers my question

and also as I wanted to water cool my GPU as well, but there is no full block for non reference card, I guess Ill be stuck in the stock cooler of my vapor x 7950. The thing is I wanted to crossfire..

If there is RV 03 owners here who has crossfired with stock fans, I would be very much to know about the experience with the GPU's temperatures....

and also, I was thinking of buying a reference 7970, water cool it ( if 240 mm rad can fit on 5.25 expansion bays ). then crossfire to my current 7950 vapor x then it should not a problem of temps on vapor x as I can put the 7950 on 2nd slot (with stock fans)

Yes you can fit a 240 rad in the drive bays but you can't fit any disc drives well one is installed.

I was looking to do that in my pre planning stages. It would be tight and may not work, the rad might have to be angled to fit in the front bays. I was planning to use the back of the case if i went with a 240 rad. use the existing grill as a templete and drill more holes in the back and expand the grid to mount a large rad. You would then also need a custom air filter assembly of some sort if it is set up as intake. but the back of the case can do it it is sturdy enough for it. It might limit the size of the mobo though, extended atx mobo might be too tight if rad is inside the case attached to back.

Huh?, a 240rads fit inside the drive bays man, I have mine setup like that, just no way to put disc drives in when you have a 240rad installed, and I also have a 240 rad installing inside at the back of my case but I'm only using a matx mobo, you have to.do.abit of Modding to fit the read inside at the back, if you want to see more refer to my hydro raven 2.0 build log in my sig
