Hey guys, we added a 3rd computer to our home wifi network and now the internet keeps crashing or getting massive lag. i am using a belkin n450 and tried a cheaper router as well. I am not sure if its a modem issue or router. We have comcast service. I have checked all the ips and no conflicts.

All the devices are 2 laptops 3 cell phones and 3 desktops.

Turn all machines but one trusted one off.

Does the problem still persist?

If no, Turn them on one by one until you experience issues.

Finding the origination of the problem, I recommend you post your findings back.

I am going to bed, but its a start.

Well its when a 3rd PC/laptop first hook up. It does not matter the order. Sometimes it smooths out other times it remains slow and drops. WiFi signal will still read full even when internet drops. Not sure if I'm having a dhcp error. I also have the Comcast SMC router/modem but am not paying for a static.
